With 463 Russell 3000 companies still lacking women on boards, it’s clear that more needs to be done to ensure that they are given equal opportunities to serve in leadership positions.
Our 50 Women to Watch for Boards campaign is designed to provide a curated list of outstanding female executives who are ready and eager to serve on boards. These women will have the opportunity to nominate themselves for potential board leadership and showcase their skills, expertise, and qualifications.
The final 50 chosen will possess the experience and knowledge necessary to serve on a public company board and make a positive impact on the business world.
By participating in 50 Women to Watch for Boards, nominees will be part of a larger movement to achieve gender-balanced boards. We know that diversity and inclusion are essential for good governance, and that more women on boards will lead to better decision-making, improved financial performance, and a stronger, more sustainable business.
If you’re a female executive, entrepreneur, founder, or niche expert in your field ready to take your board career to the next level, we invite you to nominate yourself for 50 Women to Watch for Boards or if you know an outstanding female leader in your network invite her to self-nominate.
Our 50 Women to Watch for Boards campaign was overseen by an elite Selection Committee comprised of public company Board Chairs, Nominating Governance Committee Chairs, Corporate Directors, and Stock Exchange Leaders in the US, Mexico, and Canada. The Selection Committee carefully reviewed all of the nominations and selected the 50 women who demonstrated the highest level of qualifications and potential to serve on a public company board. Their expertise and insights ensured that the list represents top female talent across industries and provides a valuable resource for companies seeking to achieve more balanced and diverse boards.
The final 50 nominees will receive unparalleled public exposure and visibility, as well as opportunities to meet with corporate directors and participate in speaking engagements and advisory councils. This exposure will help catapult their board careers and put them on the path to success.
To be considered for our 50 Women to Watch for Boards list, candidates must complete the nomination form providing specific details about their experience, expertise, and qualities for board service. Sharing your professional story helps the Selection Committee get to know you and your unique perspective.
Please note that only residents of North America (Canada, Mexico, and the United States) are eligible to apply. Women currently serving on a publicly traded company board are ineligible (see terms and conditions). The nomination form takes approximately 45 minutes to complete, and you can save your progress and return to the form later if needed.
We encourage all eligible women to apply and share their accomplishments and aspirations with us. Together, we can promote gender diversity and create a more equitable business world.
Companies that want access to the 50 Women to Watch for Boards list, including contact details, are invited to sponsor the initiative. In addition to supporting this important effort to promote gender diversity on corporate boards, sponsoring companies will also benefit from valuable exposure to a highly qualified and diverse group of potential board members.
Sponsoring companies will receive recognition on our website and in all of our campaign materials, as well as exclusive access to the list and its contact details. This provides a unique opportunity for companies to connect with highly qualified women who are ready to serve on a public company board.
We encourage all companies that are committed to promoting gender diversity and building more balanced boards to consider sponsoring our 50 Women to Watch for Boards initiative. Your support will help us to create a more equitable business world, while also providing valuable benefits for your company.
