Vicki Curry is a four-time Emmy Award-winning journalist, Fortune 500 public affairs executive, and seasoned board leader with more than 25 years of experience at the intersection of media, government, and civic life. She brings boards an exceptionally rare combination of corporate government relations expertise, crisis-tested communications leadership, deep nonprofit governance experience, and the senior-level relationships — in the C-suite, at City Hall, and across the civic sector — that drive stakeholder trust and institutional impact.

Curry currently serves as Vice President of State & Community Affairs at Fox Corporation which produces and distributes content through some of the world’s leading and most valued brands, including FOX Sports, FOX Entertainment, FOX Television Stations, FOX News Media, and Tubi Media Group. She leads the company’s state government relations program, with a focus on state Attorneys General, and directs FOX’s Los Angeles external affairs and corporate social responsibility strategy. She is spearheading FOX FUTURE, a $1.5 billion master plan to develop nine new soundstages and two office towers on the historic Fox Studio Lot, overseeing all political and community outreach to secure entitlements for the project.

Prior to Fox, Curry served as Deputy Mayor of Communications and Chief Public Information Officer for the City of Los Angeles under Mayors Antonio Villaraigosa and Eric Garcetti. Appointed by Mayor Garcetti as L.A.’s first-ever Chief Public Information Officer, she oversaw strategic communications across 40 municipal departments serving more than four million residents. She directed communications for landmark policy initiatives — including raising the minimum wage, expanding public transit and affordable housing, making community college free, launching L.A.’s Green New Deal, and securing the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games bid — and led crisis communications during wildfires, mass shootings, and major public demonstrations.

Before her government career, Curry was a producer and reporter at PBS SoCal, where she earned four Emmy Awards, six Golden Mike Awards, an Associated Press Award, and a Southern California Journalism Award. She was selected for both the American Council on Germany Journalist Program and the East-West Center Hong Kong Journalism Fellowship.

Curry is deeply committed to board service and governance. She currently chairs the Board of Directors of the Downtown Women’s Center — the only Los Angeles organization exclusively focused on serving women experiencing homelessness — where she leads all board functions including finance, audit, governance, and strategic planning. Under her chairship, the organization has broken ground on an $80 million permanent supportive housing project and launched a $75 million comprehensive fundraising campaign. She also serves as a Trustee of her alma mater, Barnard College, Columbia University, where she sits on several committees, including Governance & Nominations.

Additionally, Curry currently serves on the boards of the Westside Neighborhood Council and West Los Angeles Homeless. Her previous board service includes the Central City Association of Los Angeles (Co-Chair of the Tourism & Economic Development Committee); the Century City Chamber of Commerce (Executive Committee Member and Chair of its Government Affairs Council); Levitt Pavilion Los Angeles (Board Co-Chair and member of its Finance, Strategic Planning, and Executive Search Committees); and Hollywood Arts (Founding Board Secretary and Producer of its annual Dream Awards). She was also appointed by Mayor Eric Garcetti to the Los Angeles City Commission on the Status of Women where she served as Vice President and a member of the ad-hoc committees for Strategic Planning and the annual Pioneer Women Awards.
