Nerissa Naidu is a globally experienced independent board chair and former Fortune 100 executive with almost a decade of international board leadership across key global markets. She brings proven expertise in corporate governance, audit and risk oversight, restructuring, and digital transformation, making her a trusted advisor to public and private companies navigating complexity, regulation, and innovation.
Nerissa has chaired several boards and sub-committees through critical moments, including accelerated growth, regulatory scrutiny, and corporate restructuring. Most recently, she provided board and restructuring oversight during the Chapter 11 process of a U.S.-based technology infrastructure company. She regularly advises corporate and government leaders on inclusive stewardship, governance, and innovation, and has served on the advisory board of the Export-Import Bank of the United States.
Her executive career spans two decades, where she led large-scale organic and inorganic growth initiatives, managed global P&Ls, and executed strategic turnarounds at AIG and Accenture. She also co-founded and was CEO of āxil, an award-winning FinTech platform for small businesses.
Nerissa is global speaker, and an established member of the World Economic Forum’s global community as a member of the Global Future Council for Governance; a Young Global Leader, and Dangote Fellow. She has been recognized as one of the 50 Women to Watch for Boards (2025) and a Financial Times Leader to Watch (2019). She holds an Executive MBA and a BTech in Industrial Engineering, and has completed executive programs at Wharton, Harvard, and London Business School.
