Laurie Schalow is the Chief Corporate Affairs and Food Safety Officer for Chipotle Mexican Grill. In her role, Ms. Schalow oversees all internal and external communications, stakeholder engagement, sustainability, customer service, social listening, food safety and quality assurance for the brand’s 4,000+ restaurants in the U.S., Canada and Europe. Additionally, Ms. Schalow is responsible for oversight of The Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, where she serves as President.
Recognized for her work and dedication to furthering the communications industry, Ms. Schalow has been named to Nation’s Restaurant News’s Power List (2025), Business Insider’s ‘Most Influential PR Pros’ list (2021, 2020), Fast Casual’s Top Movers and Shakers list (2021), PRNews’ Top Women in PR list (2021), and received PR Week’s “Most Purposeful In-House Communicator” Award (2020).
Prior to joining Chipotle in 2017, Ms. Schalow was Vice President of Public Affairs for Yum! Brands, overseeing global corporate social responsibility, public relations, crisis management, social listening and community diversity programs for the 44,000 KFC, Pizza Hut and Taco Bell restaurants in 140 countries.
