About the events

What started as a National Conversation on Board Diversity has catapulted into a global discussion about the business and human imperative of diversity and gender balance on corporate boards.

Every November, 50/50 Women on Boards hosts a  discussion with the most prominent and influential voices driving our vision for women to hold 50% of all corporate board seats and women of color to hold at least 20% of all corporate board seats.

Only 6% of Russell 3000 companies have gender-balanced boards, so your participation at the global and local level as an attendee or a sponsor makes an impact, enabling our non-profit organization to educate, advocate, and collaborate for the advancement of women.

All are invited to be part of the conversation – don’t miss The Global Conversation, Regional Panels, and Interactive Networking Sessions held in 30 City/State events across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Greece, the U.K., and Spain. Come to listen, interact, and build your network!

NOTABLE TAKEAWAYS

"The single most important thing business leaders can do to accelerate diversity in the boardroom is to insist on fielding a diverse slate of candidates. Including one token woman or one woman of color on the slate - that doesn't count."
Melinda Gates, Co-chair of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and Founder of Pivotal Ventures
"It has to be part of an organization's culture. You cannot consider putting forth a slate of candidates that isn't diverse on every level."
Martin South, President, U.S. & Canada Division at Marsh
"In a global marketplace, it's important that the board rooms be populated with people who represent that marketplace."
Valerie Jarrett, Former Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama
