Marsha J. Vande Berg is a chief executive officer and global board director with deep experience guiding boards through capital stewardship, audit oversight, cybersecurity risk, and geopolitical complexity. She is an SEC-designated Audit Committee Financial Expert and is recognized for helping directors exercise sound judgment in highly regulated, cross-border operating environments where technology, regulation, and reputation intersect.

Ms. Vande Berg currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Audit Committee Member of Quantum Advisors Private Limited, one of India’s most respected investment firms. In this role, she provides oversight of more than US$3 billion in assets invested in India’s public markets on behalf of international institutional, high-net-worth, and retail investors. She also serves as the Board’s liaison to the Risk Management Committee, advising on cybersecurity, information technology risk, reputational exposure, and geopolitical dynamics affecting cross-border capital management. Her responsibilities include oversight of financial reporting and audit alignment across GAAP and IFRS, navigation of multiple regulatory regimes, and monitoring of evolving best practices in governance and risk mitigation. She additionally contributes strategic perspective on growth initiatives through her global network in institutional investment and capital markets.

Ms. Vande Berg also serves as an International Advisory Board Director for GG56 Ltd., a South Korea–based technology company focused on AI, blockchain, and data-driven solutions for global initiatives. In this capacity, she champions governance best practices related to transparency, data privacy, and ethical technology deployment, while supporting early-stage capital formation and international partnerships through introductions to senior leaders in finance, technology, and investment across Asia.

Previously, Ms. Vande Berg served as a Board Director and member of the Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee for the Singapore and London subsidiaries of Tata Capital. After regulatory approval by the UK Financial Services Authority and the Monetary Authority of Singapore, she provided strategic oversight of offshore investment banking and private equity platforms managing more than US$1 billion in assets. Working with fellow directors, she supported a multi-year strategic re-orientation initiated in 2019 and completed in 2025 to strengthen governance resilience, regulatory alignment, and long-term returns.

In addition to her board service, Ms. Vande Berg is the Chief Executive Officer of MVandeBerg Advisory, where she advises boards and senior leadership teams on macro risk, digital transformation, geopolitical change, and sustainability integration. Her work emphasizes contextual analysis that helps organizations recognize disruption not only as risk, but as opportunity. She has advised companies on impact metrics and stakeholder communications and was engaged by the Impact Management Project to help define global sustainability terminology supporting the development of IFRS Sustainability Standards.

Earlier in her career, Ms. Vande Berg served for nine years as Chief Executive Officer of the Pacific Pension & Investment Institute, leading a global organization serving asset owners and managers representing more than US$25 trillion in assets under management. During her tenure, she executed major governance transitions, professionalized operations, aligned thought leadership with global investment trends, and significantly expanded the organization’s international reach and financial performance. Her background also includes senior leadership roles in national and regional media, including executive and editorial positions with CBS and The San Francisco Chronicle, as well as ownership leadership in a successful newspaper turnaround—experience that informs her strength in stakeholder communication and reputational oversight.

Ms. Vande Berg holds a Ph.D. from Vanderbilt University and a master’s degree from Duke University. She has completed executive education in corporate governance and AI governance at Stanford University’s Rock Center for Corporate Governance. She is a lifetime member of the Council on Foreign Relations, serves on the board of Japan Society Northern California, is an inaugural member of the Global & Emerging Risks Advisory Board of the RAND Corporation, and chairs the President’s Leadership Council of The Asia Foundation.
