Lavonne Burke is a board director and seasoned legal executive with deep expertise in cybersecurity, AI, data privacy, enterprise risk, and digital transformation. She serves as Board Secretary at Texas Dow Employee Credit Union (TDECU), where she chairs the Audit and Risk & Compliance Committees and sits on the Governance & Nominations Committee. Lavonne also serves a board member of the Advanced Cybersecurity Center, on the ACC Foundation’s Cybersecurity Advisory Board and currently serves as Chair of the Computer & Technology Section of the State Bar of Texas. Lavonne is immediately qualified to serve on the Audit, Nominating & Governance, and Technology committees.
Her prior board service includes director roles at Wellby Financial, The Rose, and Camp for All, as well as leadership with the Ladies of the Lake Educational & Charitable Foundation. Lavonne is a graduate of United Way’s Project Blueprint Board Leadership Program.
Professionally, she is Vice President of Security & Resiliency, Digital, Privacy, and AI at Dell Technologies, where she leads a global legal team overseeing cybersecurity, AI governance and compliance, enterprise data governance, and regulatory strategy. Her previous leadership roles include senior legal positions at Johnson & Johnson, BakerHostetler, and Vinson & Elkins. Lavonne brings a unique combination of boardroom experience, regulatory insight, and emerging technology expertise, making her a valuable strategic advisor to companies navigating risk, innovation, and governance in a rapidly evolving landscape.
