Bianca Wallace currently serves as U.S. Chief Risk Officer at The Norinchukin Bank, a global Japanese financial institution and recognized leader in sustainability finance. Based in New York, she leads risk management across the bank’s U.S. operations, including multiple subsidiaries. Her responsibilities cover credit, market, liquidity, operational, regulatory, and information security risks.
Bianca is a seasoned executive with deep experience across Treasury, Markets, and complex multijurisdictional operations. She has led enterprise risk functions and complex projects involving multiple stakeholders across the United States, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Australia. She has helped guide institutions through regulatory remediations, new business launches, cybersecurity incidents, and significant M&A activity.
Before joining Norinchukin, Bianca held senior roles at Westpac Institutional Bank, where she was responsible for risk oversight across Financial Markets and Treasury operations in the Americas and Europe. She built and led risk frameworks, strengthened governance, and aligned operations with regulatory expectations across regions.
Bianca is known for her collaborative leadership style, her ability to build high-performing teams, and her commitment to operational excellence. She is also deeply engaged in industry advocacy and regulatory dialogue, helping to shape best practices while continuously improving risk capabilities within the organizations she serves.
