Amanda Renteria is a nationally recognized CEO and civic innovator with deep experience at the intersection of government and technology. As CEO of Code for America, she leads one of the most impactful civic tech organizations in the U.S., delivering digital solutions that have improved public systems for over 10 million people and secured $100M+ in funding. A former U.S. Senate Chief of Staff and National Political Director for a major presidential campaign, Amanda brings exceptional governance, policy, and operational expertise.
During her government tenure, Amanda provided expertise in economic and financial policy, advancing transformative federal legislation and participating in landmark international trade negotiations. As a civic technology leader, she has built federal-state partnerships to strengthen the social safety net, co-created the first mobile Child Tax Credit application with the U.S. Treasury, and helped launch the IRS’s inaugural free mobile tax filing system.Amanda serves on multiple nonprofit, academic, and corporate advisory boards, and is a frequent speaker on public policy and social innovation. She is the first Latina to serve as a Chief of Staff in the U.S. Senate and holds degrees from Stanford and Harvard Business School.
