Independent research shows that companies with diverse boards are more profitable and productive; yet 71% of the largest U.S. companies are still lacking women and women of color on their boards.

Our Gender Diversity Index Directory Ranks the Russell 3000 Companies, the largest U.S. Companies, by the number of women on their boards. In Q3 2025, the number of gender-balanced boards declined by 12 companies to 388.

Being part of the 2024 50 Women to Watch for Boards cohort has been empowering—a space where nerve, not just niceness, is celebrated. Boardrooms don’t need more people who maintain the status quo; they need bold voices willing to challenge it. I am eager to keep pushing alongside these powerful women, until representative leadership that is heard and respected - is the norm, not the exception.
