Sali has 30 years of experience in disruptive technologies, operational resilience, and compliance in highly regulated publicly held and Fortune 20 companies. Her forte is in governance of cyber, privacy and ethical risks within emerging technologies such as AI; where she solves critical problems through innovation and diversity to achieve optimal business transformation and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) objectives. Sali is a board advisor in geopolitical risks and emerging markets. As a winner of few awards, she was featured in media outlets, law journals, summit keynotes, and contributed to National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) publications and master classes.

Currently, Sali serves on the Technology Committee of Sullivan Cotter Holdings’ Board, a transformative leading provider using AI for data-driven insights expertise, and solutions in the health care sector, complementing organizational design and strategy execution services to help organizations align business strategy and performance objectives.

In 2017, she was a board member advisor for Adiyat (multi-generational Family business $50 million to $200 million growth in 2 years), a highly engineered company in fast-moving consumer goods, transportation and logistics serving North and East Africa, where she helped diversifying the company’s portfolio into neighboring remote regions weighing on the satellite communication capability built in the trucks and driver management systems to best serve retail and point of sale. Through other board engagements she worked with SEC filings, corporate disclosures, Mergers and Acquisitions from an operational/ technology risk perspective, compliance and regulatory audits, and the impact of business valuations to post merger remediation activities.

In her 15-year corporate executive career, Sali is a two-times CISO and Chief Risk Officer. As the Chief Information Security Officer and advisor for the International Monetary Fund, Sali worked with regulatory bodies and central banks in governing cryptocurrency and digital economies in addition to overseeing the digital risks of IMF and security of high-profile espionage and investigations. Prior to this she was CISO for Time Inc. Customer Service (NYSE:TIME) responsible for security and privacy of 100 million consumer personal credit card information. Previously, she was the Risk Officer Advisor for $360 Billion Saudi Aramco (TADAWUL:ARAMCO) and SABIC (Former GE plastic business) where she established the risk governance framework and advised on critical risk issues in control and communication systems throughout the industrial and corporate platforms (OT/IT). In 2018 was her CEO experience, for 3 years building and scaling a successful cybersecurity startup with $127 million valuation in first year, starting with product and go to market serving Fortune50 and U.S Defense.

In the consulting world, Sali was a Principal Advisor in the Global Specialty Practice of Amazon Web Services (NASDAQ-AMZN), where she advised AI global languages of Amazon AlexaTM and AWS customers’ boards on governing digital disruption and assisted the C-suite on strategic planning and sustaining transformed businesses influencing a revenue of $2 billion across the automotive, media, and broadcast, financial, and health services industries.  In addition to aiding AWS regional leaders in US, EMEA and ASPAC with go to market strategies, cloud enablement and business development, Amazon in Africa initiative in developing countries and emerging markets. She was part of a tiger team that materialized ESG by adding Strive to be Earth’s Best Employer and Success and Scale Bring Broad Responsibility to the 14 Amazon Leadership Principles.

As Sr. VP. of Audit (Technology) for Global Audit in General Electric (NASDAQ:GE) where she established risk-based audit programs for the Board Audit Committee reporting thematic issues to committees that aid the business in decision making. She led the $7 Billion risk assessment of Metlife M&A.

In addition to advising high profile satellite communication, Sali earlier career launched three (US) diplomatically sensitive 24×7 broadcast streams in politically unrest regions and Business Continuity and day to day operations of end-to-end facility in a leading-edge IT based TV NEWS system, MBN: Al-Hurra and Voice of America; overseeing operations in US, middle east, and north Africa (MENA).

With more than 15 years’ experience serving boards of STEM disciplines and adjunct in universities, she currently serves on the Florida Advisory of, award winner, IDEA Public Charter Schools (k-12, more than $1 Billion Operation) and Advisory to the College of Engineering in University of New Haven,

Sali earned her bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering from Arab Academy for Maritime Transportation, M.SC in Security Management from City University and George Washington University, while her PhD in Biodefense as an ABD in George Mason University.

Sali’s personal purpose is rebuilding indigenous and disadvantaged communities while preserving heritage. Her economic development programs spread across Nubian villages over Egypt and Sudan. She helped an award-winning mentoring program for girls between the ages 17-22 in Africa. As an Avid sailor she supports global efforts of The Maiden Factor, teaching girls STEM through sailing.
