Robert (Rob) G. Finizio is Chief Executive Officer, Co-Founder, and Director of TherapeuticsMD Inc., an innovative women’s health pharmaceutical company.
With over 25 years of healthcare experience, Rob co-founded TherapeuticsMD (TXMD) in 2008, combining his background in women’s healthcare, pharmaceutical technology, and clinical software. Under Rob’s leadership, TherapeuticsMD has become a leader in women’s health, pharmaceutical development, and commercialization.
In 2011, Rob took TherapeuticsMD public on the NYSE and later moving the company to the NASDAQ, with a market capitalization that exceeded a billion dollars. Since then, Rob raised over $900 million in capital to become the first company in over 20 years to have three new products FDA approved in Women’s Health in a single year and commercialize these assets. Before TherapeuticsMD, Rob co-founded CareFusion in 2001. CareFusion was a pioneer in hospital patient safety systems for point of care medication, blood, and specimen verification. Cardinal Health acquired CareFusion in 2006.
Rob currently serves as a director for two non-profit organizations: Rob is the Vice Chairman for BioFlorida, a director with the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Foundation, and a director for two biotech start-up companies: Pleo Pharmaceuticals and Zyversa Corporation. Rob has appeared on multiple business/pharmaceutical television programs including Mad Money, SquakBox, and Bloomberg. He has been an invited guest to discuss his entrepreneurial and healthcare experience at the Harvard Business School Alumni Association, BioFlorida, the University of Miami and multiple other organizations. Prior to his healthcare career, Rob obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of Miami majoring in pre-med and psychology. He also taught English as a second language in Osaka, Japan.
