Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary — IDEX Corporation

Denise R Cade leads all legal, regulatory, compliance, information security/cybersecurity, ESG and corporate governance matters for IDEX Corporation, an S&P 500 global technology and manufacturing company of a diverse product set, including the Jaws of Life® rescue tools. Prior to joining IDEX , Denise was senior vice president, general counsel, corporate secretary and chief compliance officer of SunCoke Energy, Inc. and its controlled company, SunCoke Energy Partners, L.P. From 2005 to 2011, Denise was with PPG Industries, Inc., most recently as assistant general counsel, securities and finance, and corporate secretary. While there she also served as chief mergers and acquisition counsel and general counsel for the Glass and Fiber Glass Division. Denise began her career in private law practice, specializing in corporate law, securities law, and corporate transactions. She was a partner at Shaw Pittman LLP. Denise received a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA in journalism from Marquette University.

Juan R. Luciano is chairman of the board of directors, president and chief executive officer of ADM. Luciano joined ADM in 2011 as executive vice president and chief operating officer. He was named president in February 2014, and in January 2015 became the ninth chief executive in ADM’s 112-year history. He became chairman of the board in January 2016. Under Luciano’s leadership, ADM has undergone a remarkable evolution, building on more than a century of heritage to create a global nutrition business, with an industry-leading array of ingredients and solutions that are opening the door to growth opportunities in key global macro trend areas. Before joining ADM, Luciano had a successful 25-year tenure at The Dow Chemical Company, where he last served as executive vice president and president of the Performance division. Luciano holds an industrial engineering degree from the Buenos Aires Institute of Technology.

Dr. Gayle is president and CEO of The Chicago Community Trust, one of the nation’s oldest and largest community foundations. Under her leadership, the Trust has adopted a new strategic focus on closing the racial and ethnic wealth gap in the Chicago region. For almost a decade, Dr. Gayle was president and CEO of CARE, a leading international humanitarian organization. An expert on global development, humanitarian and health issues, she spent 20 years with the Centers for Disease Control, working primarily on HIV/AIDS. Dr. Gayle earned a B.A. in psychology at Barnard College, an M.D. at the University of Pennsylvania and an M.P.H. at Johns Hopkins University. She serves on public company and nonprofit boards, including The Coca-Cola Company, Organon, Palo Alto Networks, Brookings Institution, Center for Strategic and International Studies, New America, ONE Campaign, Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and Economic Club of Chicago.

Christiana Smith Shi is the former President of Nike, Inc. Global Direct-to-Consumer. Ms. Smith Shi joined Nike in 2010 as the Chief Operating Officer for Global DTC, responsible for overseeing DTC’s Global Store Operations, Real Estate, Finance, Supply Chain Operations and Information Technology. In 2012, she was named VP of E-Commerce, responsible for driving the integrated global e-commerce strategy and business for Nike, Inc. In 2013, she became President of Nike’s Direct to Consumer business, leading Nike’s retail and ecommerce businesses globally. She retired from Nike in 2016, and is currently serving as a director on the boards of Mondelez International and UPS Inc. She came to Nike after spending 24 years with McKinsey & Company, Inc., where she was elected Senior Partner in 2000. Christiana is a recognized leader in the retail sector. Christiana is a graduate of Stanford University and has an MBA from Harvard University.
